 The myth and legends are always so fantastic and appealing. With so many heroes and warriors, the Greek myth portrays a gorgeous and wonderful picture in front of us. The Troy, the Olympic mountain and all other vivid and amazing things.
I just can't help thinking about what makes them fight so unfearfully. As we know, there are so many battle and wars through all the stories. Maybe, It is the way they show their power and strength, to protect their country, their beliefs and lovers. Everyone has something they will fight for with their own blood, no matter the ancients or us people living after thousands years nowadays. Belief and love, no one can live without them weather they are right or not. Odyssey fight for his belief in conquering, Helen escaped (which we can take it as another form as fighting back) for love, they just did it without so much hesitation. To some extent, we people nowadays take abundant elements into consideration till we forget what we are persuing for in the genesis. Somehow, we can simplify ourselves and advanced on with the pure mind we got, and it may lead us to where we actually be longing for and belonging to.

内容可以简单概括为：中年男人回家记。
讲述了一个中年男人历尽艰辛终于回到家，与阔别20年的老婆和儿子在他那小小的岛屿上团聚的故事。
主旨可以简单概括为：人抗击不了神，但还是要作出奋斗，才能体现人的价值。要有信念，相信无论花费多长时间，理想始终是会实现的。男人肉体上可以和别的女人（神、巫）相交，但只要他爱的还是他老婆，那他就是个好男人；女人却一定要从身体到心灵，绝对忠于丈夫，才能是一个为人称颂的好老婆。
总的来说较为完整而又不失趣味地展现了荷马史诗中的第二部《奥德修记》，帮助我较清晰地了解这个故事，终于分清那些名字拗口的人是谁跟谁，发生了什么，做了什么。
另外，这部12年前的电影，特效做得比现在中国的还要好。

     Except for admiring Odyssey for his brave,intelligence and tenacity after enjoying this movie，what impresses me more is that the movie makes me rethink the differences and similarities between Chinese mythology and European mythology as well as some consideration about the nature.
    This movie reminds me of “Journey To The West”,one of the Four Great Classical Novels in China. I think they do have something in common. As for the plot, the protagonists of these two mythologies both suffered a lot before they came back home. On their way home,there were many great trials and tribulations as well as lure but they finally have a strong willpower to through the difficulties. What's more,there must be assistance from other gods if there was something beyond their own power. Even though the protagonists of European mythology look like an ordinary person while Chinese mythology's are always connected to animals ,I think what they try to tell us human beings is the same. That is,brave,confidence,intelligence and tenacity make our life shining.
      I think this movie impressed me most is something about the nature. We human beings are now less and less respectful to the nature.We are now always destroy the environment without feeling shamed.But as we can see in the movie,the ancient Greeks really revered the power of nature.With mythology, they made sense of it and they infused it in their religion, their stories, their history. Now ,as the science being increasingly developed, people are more and more concerned about the development but regardless of the environment. In this movie, Odyssey offended Poseidon - the god of sea thus being punished. I think if we continue destroying the environment,we will finally be punished by the nature as Odyssey did thousands of years ago.

     史诗作品一定是恢宏的，有恰到好处的特效为证；史诗作品一定是丰富的，有鲜明性格特征的诸神和英雄为证；史诗作品也一定是深刻的，有蓝本《奥德赛》为证。
   这部影片对于我们了解古希腊神话，体味神话对蔚蓝地中海之变化莫测的想象，思考10年颠沛的海上冒险对英雄回归家园之心的考验，都很有裨益。
